Fencing Repairs

Repairs to posts, rails, gates and storm-damaged fencing, ours or others.

Replaced gate and posts repairing a damaged rural fence line

Repairs to snapped posts, sagging rails, broken gates and storm-damaged sections. We repair our own work for the life of the fence, and we will repair other contractors work where it is worth saving. Where it is not, we will tell you straight, because replacement is often cheaper than years of patching. Gateways and dropped posts a speciality.

Do you repair other contractors fencing?

Yes, where it is worth saving we are happy to repair fencing we did not build. Where it is not, we will tell you straight rather than take the job.

Can you fix a post without replacing the whole fence?

Often yes. A snapped or rotten post can be replaced, or supported with a concrete spur, without rebuilding the run. We assess and advise.

What is a concrete spur?

A concrete support bolted to a failing timber post to hold it firm, a cost-effective repair that can extend the life of an otherwise sound fence.

Is repair cheaper than replacement?

Sometimes. For isolated damage, repair makes sense. Where a fence is failing along its length, replacement is usually cheaper than years of patching, and we will say so.

Can you fix storm or tree-fall damage?

Yes, we clear and repair sections damaged by storms and fallen trees, and can replace gates and posts knocked out in the process.
