Classic timber five-bar field gates for fields, paddocks and rural driveways, with matching pedestrian gates where needed. Built or supplied in treated softwood or oak and hung on firmly set posts so they swing true and latch cleanly. The traditional country entrance, done properly.
What widths do field gates come in?
From narrow pedestrian gates up to wide field openings, commonly around 3 to 16 feet. We size the gate and posts to your opening.
Softwood or oak field gates?
Softwood is the traditional, cost-effective choice. We also build in oak for longer life and a premium look on visible boundaries.
Can I have a matching pedestrian gate?
Yes, a matching pedestrian gate alongside the field gate is a common, tidy arrangement, hung on properly set posts.
How are the gates hung?
On posts set to carry the weight, with galvanised ironmongery, so the gate swings true and does not drop on its hinges over time.
Will the gate hold livestock?
Yes, hung and latched correctly it secures stock, and we can add mesh to the lower bars for small animals.
