Field Shelters
Timber field shelters built to the site and the way you manage the yard.

Timber-framed field shelters with timber or galvanised steel cladding, built to suit the prevailing weather and how you run the yard. Designed for the site and the herd rather than dropped in as a kit, with the opening facing away from the worst of the wind. Solid shelter that lasts, not plastic prefab.
How big should a field shelter be?
Sized to the number of horses so they can come and go without crowding. We advise on dimensions for your herd and the field.
Which way should a shelter face?
Away from the prevailing wind and driving rain, so it actually shelters. We site it for your field and the local weather.
Timber or steel cladding?
Timber looks traditional and warm; galvanised steel is hard-wearing and low maintenance. We use either or a mix to suit the site and budget.
Do shelters need a base?
A firm, well-drained base keeps the floor sound and dry. We advise on the right base for the ground and use.
Are field shelters movable?
Some can be built as skidded, movable shelters where you need to rotate grazing; others are fixed. We build to how you manage the land.
